A swashbuckling, wand-waving, spine chilling, intergalactic chance to see the LSO in action as they perform some of their most famous movie soundtracks of all time. Join presenter Paul Rissmann as he takes us through the music of World War II fighter planes in 633 Squadron, Harry Potter, Jaws, Pirates of the Caribbean and perhaps the LSO’s most famous soundtrack of all time – Star Wars.
Tickets: £4 under 16s; £10 adults
Audience participation music
The Audience Particpation Piece for this concert is 'Do not forsake me' from High Noon by Dimitri Tiomkin. Bring along your instruments and join in with the LSO! You can download the music below to practice at home.
Pre-concert workshops 10am –12.30pm
Come along before the concert and take part in film-themed workshops where you can make your own movie ideas come to life. Create your own cartoon animation and compose the perfect soundtrack to go with it. Look out Hollywood!
