Two composers deeply inspired by mysticism and the divine sit side–by–side in this programme. Valery Gergiev conducts Messiaen’s The Forgotten Offerings, inspired by Christ’s death on the cross, and Scriabin’s expansive, opulently scored Third Symphony.
