Singers: take a moment to click the audio tab above, listen to the tune, then have a go at joining in with these lyrics:

Marvellous Merlin, brave Merlin,
A spellbinding boy,
who has power, great power from him,
magical boy, Merlin

We Need Pictures. Lots of Pictures!

We Need Pictures. Lots of Pictures!

During the Merlin performance, in the movements entitled 'The Duelling Dragons' and 'The Magic Spell', we’d like to invite you to create some colourful pictures for us. You can send anything from pictures of Merlin and spells to exciting dragon fights. We plan to project these images – synchronised in time to the music.

If you feel inspired, please scan and email your pictures to: Otherwise, please post them C/O Natalie Chivers, LSO, Barbican, Silk Street, EC2Y 8DS.

Here are some tips! Your picture should ideally be...

•  Colourful, created with ink, crayon or paint (this will project much better than pencil)

•  Free of any text (please don’t put any names on the pictures as we will have to remove them!)

•  On a piece of A4 paper, in landscape orientation. And if you want to guarantee getting your entire picture on screen, create a small margin 17mm wide down the left or right hand side of the landscape page. Your paper will now have exactly the same proportions as the screen in the Barbican!

Good luck! And be sure to get your pictures to us by Wednesday 5 November.
