LSO St Luke's
The Lancashire-born composer creates shimmering and raw music inspired by memory and landscape, layering bowed strings and field recordings. He set up his Sustain-Release label in 2005 and began releasing albums in beautifully handcrafted packages – often including souvenirs of pine cones or scraps of bark to preserve the essence of the music's physical origin.
He comes to London for his first headlining concert, following on from this year's Aldeburgh Music: Faster than Sound residency. Working with the Elysian String Quartet, he will be performing a new series of works which see him taking his signature sound into new and exciting territory.
