Past Masterclasses: 2012

The three aspiring professionals, Gergely Madaras, James Ham and Marcio da Silva, took part in a public masterclass with Sir Colin Davis on Thursday 22 March 2012 at LSO St Luke’s. The conductors observed Sir Colin rehearsing with the LSO before meeting him to discuss the repertoire chosen for the masterclass and their specific approach.

Repertoire for the masterclass was Beethoven Leonore Overture No 2, and Nielsen Symphony No 2 movements 1 and 3.

The LSO Discovery Conducting Scheme is supported by The Murray-Smith Laird Charitable Trust
