Under the baton of one of the greatest Bruckner interpreters of our time, the LSO tackles Bruckner’s mighty Eighth Symphony, premiered in Vienna in 1892. Hailed as 'the crown of music in our time', it was praised by the critic and fellow-composer Hugo Wolf as 'the work of a giant that surpasses the other symphonies of the master in intellectual scope, awesomeness and greatness'.
