Gamelan Group
The LSO Community Gamelan Group is open to adults.
A Gamelan is a percussion ensemble from Indonesia. Our beautiful instruments from Bali, with bronze keys and intricately carved frames, have their own room in LSO St Luke's for workshops and also travel to local schools for outreach work.
We welcome new members, so come along if you'd like to try the gamelan.
Each session costs £6.50 (£4.50 concessions). Gamelan is open to all ages and abilities and you don't have to read music or have previous musical experience, so come along and try something completely different!
The LSO St Luke's Community Gamelan Group meets in the Clore Gamelan Room at LSO St Luke's on Monday evenings during the school term at the following times:
5.30–7pm Beginners
7.15–8.30pm Intermediate & Advanced
Summer term 2013
The Summer 2013 term begins on Monday 15 April and ends on Monday 1 July. There is no session on 6 & 27 May.
