Working with the LSO
The LSO has paid postions for staff working in a number of areas including concerts planning, backstage, education, event management, marketing, fundraising and finance, as well as in the Orchestra itself.
Internships at the LSO
We offer a number of internships in our Concerts, Discovery, Development, Marketing and Finance departments. These are usually for a period of six months (12 months when part of a further education course) and are unpaid although we do cover most travel costs and pay a meal allowance. Our internships are particularly suitable for recent graduates, but applications are open to anyone who meets the relevant criteria.
All paid positions and internship vacancies are advertised on our website and all current vacancies are shown on the next pages, together with details of how to apply. If no vacancies are shown, we are not currently recruiting but do check back regularly as new positions may become available at any time.
Work Experience with the LSO
Other than internships, which are described above, the LSO does not currently offer any other work experience opportunities. In particular, we do not currently have any suitable opportunities for those under 18 years old.
Enquiries about Job Vacancies, Internships and Work Experience
Because of the volume of emails and letters that we receive about working with the LSO, we are unable to respond personally to enquiries about vacancies. We also regret that we are unable to review all CVs that we are sent, and instead we encourage those who are interested in working with the LSO to apply for specific positions.
Please note that we do not accept Pages files. If you do not have Word, please convert your file to PDF before sending it to us.
If you have a query which is not covered above, please email us (using the Jobs address) and we will endeavour to respond within 10 days.
The LSO aims to be an equal opportunities organisation.
Please note that, unless otherwise stated, we do not accept CVs. All applications for vacancies at the LSO must be made on the application form provided with the job advert.
