Discovery Days

LSO Discovery Days offer the opportunity to immerse yourself in the life and music of specific composers and works.

Taking place during the day of an LSO concert, each Discovery Day includes access to the morning rehearsal^, a talk from an expert guest speaker, chamber music performed by LSO players, and occasionally Q&A sessions with the artists. You are then welcome to book tickets for the evening concert at the Barbican.

Previous Discovery Days have focused on Peter Maxwell Davies, Britten, Schubert, Shostakovich, Haydn, Elgar, Dutilleux, Prokofiev, Strauss, James MacMillan, Stravinsky, John Adams, Sibelius, Schumann and Mozart, among many others.

Tickets and booking

Discovery Days take place at the Barbican and LSO St Luke’s, and you can attend the whole day for £20 (£15 concessions) or the afternoon only for £14 (no concessions), plus booking fee*.
