Performances

An established chamber, world and pop music venue, the Jerwood Hall is intimate, beautiful and extremely comfortable for both public and private performances.

Programmers benefit from flexible seating and staging, excellent acoustics and first-rate technical equipment. Glazed windows ensure the space is soundproof and enhanced by natural daylight, while electronic blinds provide black-out for more atmospheric events.

'The coolest venue the capital has to offer'

Jewish Chronicle

With theatre-style seating for 412, the stunning contemporary design is enhanced by original 18th-century features. Concerts are inspiring for performers and audiences alike and our experienced stage and technical teams help you take full advantage of the venue’s set-up.

Marketing

Public concerts at LSO St Luke’s are advertised in our termly Events Guide. 32,000 copies are distributed across London and further afield via our mailing list, supported by regular email updates. Promoters are encouraged to produce their own campaigns and basic display facilities are available at the venue in the run-up to each event.

LSO St Luke’s submits information to the PRS for each concert. Charges for performances of copyright music are based on box office receipts and included in the final invoice.

Availability

Priority is given to the LSO’s music education and community programme, LSO Discovery, with a careful balance of artistic and commercial events organised around this. The Jerwood Hall is normally available for public concerts on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. We accept bookings up to a year in advance.

We also work with a number of partners whose work echoes our own ethos.

Hiring the Jerwood Hall

We host a fantastic line-up of artists including several regular annual appearances. If you would like to put on a concert at LSO St Luke’s, please contact our events team, who can provide a rate card detailing hire costs, facilities, marketing and box office, and a proposal form to complete and return for consideration.

Public concerts chosen for our programme must be confirmed at least 3 months in advance of each season. This can mean up to 6 months in advance of some dates and applications received after this point may not be considered.

Due to the limited number of dates available, suitable concerts are selected very carefully. Not all applications are successful, possibly due to size, profile or expected audience. References will be required for any applicants not already known to the organisation.
