An exceptional series of concerts in the heart of the City performed by the world's greatest artists.
Summer with the LSO
The LSO has barely had chance to breathe this spring as it returns to its regular concert series following whirlwind tours around East Asia and Europe – yet with the summer fast approaching there are still many chances to join the thousands of music-lovers coming to hear the Orchestra perform at its London home.
From the end of April to the end of June the Orchestra is joined by a host of special guest artists – including Daniele Gatti, Sir Mark Elder, Nicola Benedetti and Sir Simon Rattle – to perform music from Beethoven and Birtwistle to Shostakovich and Strauss.
...the glitter-bomb finale — horn players on their feet, clarinets and oboes raised like peashooters — was simply thrilling.
