Crafting his own instruments from natural elements such as arctic birch, granite, sheep bells and even ice, Norwegian percussionist Terje Isungset brings the haunting sounds of the far northern wilderness to LSO St Luke’s. He will be joined by LSO wind players to perform Nielsen’s Wind Quintet, and a sound and film installation entitled The Idea of North combining mysterious imagery with Terje’s icy soundscape.
