Three ways to support the LSO

Three ways to support

Leaving a legacy is one of the most enduring gifts anyone can make, and is easy to do. Simply select the area you would like to support and we can advise you on the exact wording you should use in your Will or Codicil.

Gifts to the LSO Endowment Trust enable us to spend only the income derived from your gift year on year, creating your musical legacy for the future.

1. Supporting the Orchestra tomorrow
LSO Endowment. Registered Charity No. 233700
The LSO Endowment Fund exists to underpin the Orchestra's artistic ambitions - without it there would be fewer concerts and higher ticket prices. Income from the fund secures the future of the Orchestra's core activities.

Gifts from donors are invested into a permanent fund, administered by its own Trustees. Income is derived from interest, with the capital remaining untouched.

2. LSO Discovery Endowment Trust - Supporting future generations
LSO Endowment. Registered Charity No. 233700
Income from the LSO Discovery Endowment Trust underpins LSO Discovery, the Orchestra's education and community programme - working with schools, with the local community, encouraging music-making and nurturing young musical talent at home and abroad.

Knowing that this income is available allows us to secure the diverse range of educational projects currently on offer, and guarantees them in the future.

3. Supporting the Orchestra today
London Symphony Orchestra Ltd, Registered Charity No. 232391
Unrestricted gifts allow your legacy to be spent in the area of greatest need, providing the Orchestra with greater flexibility.

Alternatively you may prefer to leave a gift for a specific purpose and we would be happy to discuss with you the various options in further detail. Your legacy could endow a Principal Player's chair, support the LSO Instrument Fund, sponsor a concert in your memory or commission a new work for the Orchestra.
