We are unable to assist you with preparing your application.
Equal Opportunities, Diversity and Inclusion
Recruiting managers shortlist candidates with at least one other person to provide a diverse perspective and to reduce the possibility of unconscious bias. During shortlisting, candidates are compared to the requirements in the person specification, not to each other.
As part of the recruitment process, you can notify us of your disability and any adjustments you may require. We will then be in touch to discuss how we can best assist you.
This form is vital to help ensure we are reaching as diverse a field of candidates as possible. Your Equal Opportunities Form is not seen by the recruiting manager and is separate from your application. Sharing this information helps us to track whether our move towards fairer representation is working. If you would prefer to not fill it in, it makes it harder for us to measure improvement.
Data
Applications are kept for a maximum of 6 months. If you would prefer us to not keep your information for this period of time, please email us at jobs@lso.co.uk and your information will be deleted sooner.
Interviews
We appreciate you will need time between being offered an interview and actually attending. We aim to give as much time as possible for preparation, making alternative arrangements etc. The interview dates are usually included in the recruitment pack to help with diary planning.
If you need any support or reasonable adjustments to enable you to attend an interview, please let us know.
If you haven’t heard from us by two weeks after the closing date for the role then you have not been shortlisted.
We will let you know who you’ll be meeting with when you are invited to attend an interview. It is important to have diversity represented on our panels, so we will always ensure that our panels are as diverse as possible. Where second round interviews are held, one of the first-round panel will usually be present. We may vary the arrangements slightly for certain roles if necessary.
Questions will relate to the job description and person specification. You will be asked the same set of questions in the first-round conversation as the other candidates, but there may also be a discussion around these questions to get a better understanding of your personal skills and experiences. There will also be the option for candidate-specific questions if needed. We may vary these arrangements slightly for certain roles if necessary. You will never be asked for personal information, such as race, age, religion, disability, or sexual orientation.
Application Outcome
If you are the successful candidate you will receive a call by the recruiting manager. If you have not been successful you will receive an email as soon as possible after a decision is made. Your referees will not be consulted until you have confirmed you have accepted the offer and have let us know you are happy for us to make contact.
