As a self-governing orchestra, with all LSO Members being shareholders, there is a collective sense of achieving the best possible quality and outcome for every project. We don’t undertake two conflicting engagements at the same time, so we can guarantee that the orchestra you work with is indeed the LSO (and of the same world-class quality that we would present on the concert platform).

We have a celebrated and distinguished worldwide reputation, and charge based on the standard UK Musicians’ Union session rates – so there shouldn’t be a significant cost difference between the LSO and comparable freelance session musicians.
