Aisha Palmer
Harp, Royal Academy of Music
Aisha is an award-winning harpist, who has performed across the United Kingdom. A passionate orchestral player, Aisha has performed with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, with conductors Gianandrea Noseda and Kazuki Yamada. She was awarded the MMSF Philharmonia Fellowship in recognition of her commitment.
Aisha received the Help Musician Postgraduate Award and scholarships from Drake Calleja Trust, Ryan Davies Trust and James Pantyfedwen Trust. She won the Blue Ribbon Instrumental aged 19, and received the Peggy and Maldwyn Hughes Scholarship, the ESO Young Soloist Competition 2023 and the Nansi Richards Scholarship in the Wales Harp Festival 2022.
Establishing herself internationally, Aisha won the Professional Duet Prize in the Hong Kong International Harp Competition, first prize in the International Harp Competition ‘Walled Town’, Cittadella, Italy, second prize at the Infinity International Harp Competition, and a Diploma from the Glowing Harp International Competition.
A creative soloist, Aisha has performed recitals at Leicester Cathedral, the Foundling Museum and the House of Lords. Aisha is involved in the Music for Healing project at The London Clinic and has collaborated with the Orchestra of the Swan on projects in the Acorn Children’s Hospice and Café Muse Hereford.
Aisha graduated from Royal Academy of Music with a BMus First Class Honours and a Regency Award under the tuition of Karen Vaughan. She is currently studying on a scholarship towards a Master of Arts at the Royal Academy of Music under the tuition of renowned harpist Catrin Finch.
