Deniz Sensoy

Turkish violinist Deniz Sensoy has achieved notable recognition for her talent. She has been named one of Classic FM’s Rising Stars for 2024, awarded a 2024/25 LSO Conservatoire Scholarship, recognised as a Britten Pears Young Artist, received the ‘Future’s Women Stars’ Prize from the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts and earned the ‘Glowing Star of the Year’ title by İş Bank.
She made her solo debut at Wigmore Hall in 2023, where she performed Fazıl Say’s piece Cleopatra, and has recently performed as a soloist with YMSO at the Cadogan Hall and at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg with the LGT Young Soloists. Deniz has shared the stage with Maxim Vengerov, performing alongside the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall in London and at the Zorlu PSM in Istanbul. She gave her first orchestral concert as a soloist at the age of eight and continues performing with various orchestras. She will perform Bruch’s Violin Concerto No 1 under the baton of Martyn Brabbins with the RCM Symphony Orchestra in Autumn 2024.
Deniz performs internationally as a soloist and chamber musician. She has been regularly performing solo recitals and concerts at the International Bellapais Music Festival and has performed in many other festivals including Morges Music Academy, Cagliari International Music Festival and Lerici Music Festival. In celebration of International Women’s Day in 2024, she collaborated with Classic FM on a video recording at Southbank Centre.
After studying with Professor Krzysztof Wegrzyn in Hannover, Germany, she is now continuing her studies with Alexander Gilman at the Royal College of Music in London, where she receives the Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Scholarship. She has been accepted to the RCM to start her master’s degree studies in September 2024, supported by a full ABRSM scholarship. She is further supported by MESA Holding and CEV Art.
