LSO Discovery Free Friday Lunchtime Concerts
Curious about instrumental music? Looking to make lunchtime musical? Join us for a bite-size, informal concert on selected lunchtimes through the year.
Hear live performances from small groups of LSO or Guildhall School musicians up close. Find out more with friendly introductions to guide you through the concert from our presenter Rachel Leach. And if you’re left with burning questions, you can ask them during each concert’s Q+A session.
Entry is free! In most cases you can just turn up on the day, except for the concert on 20 June at the Barbican Conservatory, where pre-booking is required. We work on a first-come, first-seated basis, so we recommend arriving in good time to avoid disappointment.
Our Concerts
While our venue LSO St Luke’s is closed for a programme of works and upgrades for much of 2025, we’re taking LSO Discovery on tour all over London – with Free Lunchtime Concerts taking place in magnificent City churches and at the Barbican’s own hidden tropical oasis. From Autumn 2025, we’ll be back in LSO St Luke’s, with a brand new programme of events.

Relaxed Performances
Relaxed Lunchtime Concerts are particularly suitable for individuals or groups who feel more comfortable attending in a relaxed environment. Everyone is welcome, including people who have sensory and communication impairments, learning disabilities, or who are neurodiverse.
