Rattle: the exhibition

To celebrate Sir Simon Rattle's arrival as LSO Music Director in September we have put together an exhibition of photos and memorabilia covering his musical life to date, with contributions from his family archives, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Barbican and the LSO.

Composer to composer: Jack Sheen and James Weeks discuss ‘Saenredam’

On Saturday 30 September 2017, LSO composer Jack Sheen will direct contemporary music group An Assembly in the first BBC Radio 3 Open Ear concert at LSO St Luke’s. Ahead of the concert, Jack sat down with James Weeks, one of the featured composers, to discuss ‘Saenredam’ from his work Schilderkonst.
