Congratulations Keston MAX Fellows!

Congratulations to the 95 Fellows who took part in the inaugural Keston MAX LSO residency at Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, California.

Five LSO section principals, David Alberman (2nd violin), David Elton (trumpet), Rebecca Gilliver (cello), Andrew Marriner (clarinet) and Neil Percy (percussion) spent ten days at the Academy teaching and performing, and overseeing the selection of twelve Fellows who will travel to London in January to work with the Orchestra for ten days.

The Solo Piano Competition winner Sophiko Simsive and the winners of the Marilyn Horne Song Competition (held in August) will also join us to perform recitals at LSO St Luke's. Each recital will feature the European Premiere performances of a work specially composed for the winners as part of the Academy’s Composer-in-Residence program, Elizabeth Ogonek (for the Piano Competition winners) and Ricky Ian Gordon (for the Song Competition winners).
