Olivia Forms a Band
Join Rachel Leach and musicians from the London Symphony Orchestra for our new online, interactive Sound Explorers concert based on the popular children’s book Olivia Forms a Band by Ian Falconer.
We invite primary school children and their families to join in with this 30-minute musical version of Olivia Forms A Band. Sing or play along, grab an instrument if you have one, and join in with three original songs, hear pieces of classical music performed by LSO musicians and see illustrations from the book on screen, all helping us to tell the story.
Find the Olivia Forms a Band concert below, as well as practice tracks and word sheets for two songs by Rachel Leach which you can join in with during the video. Use the practice tracks and word sheets if you’d like to learn the songs before watching our online concert.
Suitable for:
- Families with primary school-aged children
- Key Stage 1 and lower Key Stage 2 teachers and children in school
