I write this on a momentous day for me. Today sees the final day of my #shoesasorchestralworks series on social media, day 90 in fact. (A good place to stop methinks, before anyone suggests lifetime membership to Shoes Anonymous).
Following the recent release of the third album in the Panufnik Legacies series, which features brand new music from alumni of the LSO Panufnik Composers Scheme, we asked the composers themselves to tell us a little more about their experience writing for and recording with the Orchestra.

In 2018, we welcomed a new face to BMW Classics. We're talking, of course, about our new Music Director Sir Simon Rattle. And 2018 brought with it another change for our LSO On Track and Guildhall School musicians: they wouldn't just be playing an arrangement of a popular piece of classical music, they'd be playing the world premiere of a brand new piece, written especially with them in mind.
