City of London Festival 2015

This year, for the first time, the London Symphony Orchestra will perform in the City’s auspicious Cathedral under the baton of dynamic British conductor Edward Gardner, as they take on Haydn’s Creation. This magnificent oratorio depicts and celebrates the creation of the world as described in the biblical Book of Genesis and in Paradise Lost; the work is universally acknowledged as Haydn’s greatest musical achievement and a cornerstone of western culture.
