One of Haydn's best-loved choral works is rehearsed in the morning with Sir Simon Rattle, the LSO and the London Symphony Chorus, followed by an afternoon's exploration of the seasons in art and music with Matthew Head, Professor of Music at King's College, London, and a performance of Haydn's String Quartet No 5 Op 76 by an LSO string quartet.

Follow the morning rehearsal there will be an afternoon's exploration of the work’s influences and themes, and how it reflected what was happening in society at this time of change:

Change of Start Time
The start time of this event has change from 10am to 11am, to accommodate a change in time to the LSO’s morning rehearsal. The morning rehearsal will run from 11am–2pm, followed by a lunch break. The afternoon session at LSO St Luke’s will now begin at 3.30pm.
