Attend a morning LSO rehearsal at the Barbican Centre featuring Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No 2 with soloist Khatia Buniatishvili and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No 4, conducted by Gianandrea Noseda.

In the afternoon join broadcaster and classical music writer Stephen Johnson at LSO St Luke’s in an exploration of Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov and Prokofiev, their influences and connections and listen to a chamber music performance:

Prokofiev String Quartet No 1 will be performed by LSO players Sarah Quinn, Tom Norris (violins), Anna Bastow (viola) & Daniel Gardner (cello); and pianist Ana Gogava from the Guildhall School of Music will perform a selection of Rachmaninov Études.
