LSO rehearsal at the Barbican conducted by Mark Elder rehearsing Elgar’s Symphony No.2, Dvorák's Overture: Othello and Bruch's Violin Concerto No 1 Op 26 with Nikolaj Znaider.

Talk at LSO St Luke’s with David Owen Norris, plus a chamber music performance of Elgar’s Salut d’amour with David Owen Norris (piano) and the LSO’s Laurent Quenelle (violin), and Elgar’s Serenade for Strings and Elegy performed by an ensemble of LSO and Guildhall School players.

Guildhall artists perform Elgar’s Piano Quintet at the Barbican Hall as part of the LSO Platforms: Guildhall Artists series.

Sir Mark Elder rehearses Elgar's Second Symphony and Bruch's First Violin Concerto with soloist Nikolaj Znaider and the LSO in the morning, followed by a talk about Elgar with broadcaster and pianist David Owen Norris and chamber music at LSO St Luke’s in the afternoon.

In the afternoon at LSO St Luke's there's a chance to learn more about Elgar with pianist and broadcaster David Owen Norris, who leads a series of talks about the composer. We also explore Elgar's chamber music, with LSO Musicians and students from the Guildhall School performing Serenade for Strings and Elegy, before David Owen Norris performs Salut d’amour alongside LSO First Violin Laurent Quenelle.
