Want to know more about classical music but not sure where to start? Make the most of your lunchbreak and enjoy a free, 45-minute informal concert at LSO St Luke’s. Our presenter Rachel Leach talks about the works and the instruments, and there are opportunities to ask questions of Rachel and the musicians.

In this concert, LSO Jerwood+ composer Daniel Kidane curates a journey through space, the flights of flocking birds and we immerse ourselves in music inspired by pastoral photographs.

Kendall's Glances / I Don’t Belong Here draws inspiration from British-Guyanese artist Ingrid Pollard’s Pastoral Interludes, a series of photographs posing black subjects in the Lake District’s stunning surroundings. Feshareki's cosmos-inspired VENUS/ZOHREH for amplified quartet, is one exponential crescendo in volume, intensity, speed, and pitch exposure. Kidane's Winged draws inspiration from starling murmurations and combines the traditional string quartet with the electric guitar of Sean Shibe.
