Daniil Trifonov performs a selection of pieces for solo piano in this recital concert, part of his LSO Artist Portrait series.

Described by The Times as ‘without question the most astounding young pianist of our age’, Daniil Trifonov’s prodigious technical ability and singular feel for mood and depth have made him an international star of the classical world. Since winning the Tchaikovsky Competition in 2011, he has performed at the BBC Proms with the LSO twice, has been nominated for two Grammy Awards, and was named Gramophone’s 2016 Artist of the Year.
