BBC New Generation Artists the Consone Quartet are joined by harpsichordist Justin Taylor (the Professional Critics Association’s ‘Musical Revelation of the Year’ 2017) for three of Bach’s most richly textured chamber works.
This January, we explore the intricate textures, complex shapes and irresistible melodic lines of Bach's chamber music. With compositions that range from witty and joyful to meditative and metaphysical, Bach distilled the depths of philosophy and emotion into his works throughout his life, frequently transforming these themes into highly personal works. In this series, listen up-close and explore the magnetic charm of Bach’s music in all its elaborate detail.
