Three young conductors battle it out to win the position of LSO Assistant Conductor in the final of the Donatella Flick LSO Conducting Competition 2021.
The Donatella Flick LSO Conducting Competition, created by Donatella Flick in 1990, aims to help a young conductor establish an international conducting career, bridging the gap between conservatoire training and professional life.
The winner of the competition is offered, in addition to an award of £15,000, the opportunity to become Assistant Conductor of the LSO for up to one year. The competition is open to conductors aged 30 or under who are citizens of the countries with full membership of the European Union, plus those in Norway, Iceland, Lichtenstein, Switzerland and the UK.
