The LSO Percussion Ensemble take to the stage for the first of our 2021 Summer Shorts concert series.
Summer Shorts take place every Friday this August, as we throw open our doors on Old Street for short, 45-minute performances. There will be opportunities to chat to the musicians and ask them your burning questions – about the music, their instruments, anything at all! Everyone is welcome, including families.
Change of Artist and Programme
Due to a requirement to self-isolate, Ayanna Witter-Johnson is regrettably no longer able to perform at this concert. The LSO Percussion Ensemble will perform a revised programme of music, with the planned world premiere of Witter-Johnson’s Forever postponed to a later date.

In the event of cancellations or postponements, all audience members will be notified in advance.
Summer Shorts performances starting at 1pm will also be streamed live on our YouTube channel.
There are Summer Shorts concerts every Friday at 11am and 1pm throughout August. On Sunday 15 August, we're back in Trafalgar Square for our open-air BMW Classics concert.
