The Concert

For the first time, the Czech Philharmonic is opening the doors of its own subscription series to the LSO, on the 50th anniversary of the death of Benjamin Britten. In these three concerts, Benjamin Britten’s Sinfonia da Requiem will be heard alongside Gustav Mahler’s Fifth Symphony, a work that the conductor Antonio Pappano calls a celebration of the beauty of life.
