What to Expect – LSO St Luke's

Your Concert Experience

Concert Hall

The Jerwood Hall has two levels, Stalls and Balcony. When in use for a concert, there is a tiered seating bank at the rear of the Stalls (rows A to F), with rows of linked chairs on floor level in front of the stage (starting row AA). The Balcony has a single row of seats that wrap around the auditorium, plus a second raised row facing the stage. There are wheelchair accessible spaces on both levels.

Door Times

Please check the time that doors will open for your chosen concert on the event page or in your pre-concert email. Doors to the building typically open one hour before the concert start time, when the Crypt Bar opens. Doors to the Jerwood Hall typically open 30 minutes before the concert start time. There is no waiting area inside the building before doors open.

Concert Programmes

Free programmes are available for most concerts at LSO St Luke’s, so you can find out more about the music and performers. Programmes are also uploaded to the event listing 24 hours before the concert, so you can read them online in advance.

For our Free Friday Lunchtime Concert, you can read the digital concert programme. For our BBC Radio 3 Lunchtime Concert series, printed programmes are available from stewards on the day.

Dress Code

There is no dress code for our concerts, other than for the people on stage. Please just come as you feel comfortable.

Taking Photos

You are welcome to take photos before or after the music, but please don’t take photos of the performers during the music as this can be distracting to them and other audience members. If you’re sharing photos on social media, don’t forget to tag us. Making audio or video recordings of the music is not permitted.
